Because of my own personal experience as a hair transplantation patient, I can identify with my patients’ concerns and frustrations about their hair loss. My hair loss made me look older than I felt and I am happy that I could reverse this sign of aging. As a hair transplant surgeon, I have the opportunity to utilize my surgical skills and aesthetic judgment to help people feel better about themselves.
Hair transplantation can be a transformative experience for anyone with hair loss, and particularly for individuals who have hair loss from previous scalp surgery, radiation treatment, burns or other causes of scarring. It is always very rewarding to help these patients.
I earned my Medical Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo after earning departmental honors for my undergraduate work at Vassar. Following residency at the University of Connecticut/St Francis Hospital and Medical Center, I have served as a Clinical Instructor of Surgery and Emergency Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine while practicing Emergency Medicine for twelve years.
Seeking to focus my medical training on a passion for hair transplantation surgery, I completed an accredited hair transplant Fellowship.
By utilizing precise skills and customizing a unique surgical plan for each patient, I am able to create soft, natural looking hair lines. The most rewarding aspect of being a hair transplant surgeon is having the opportunity to impact a person’s life in such a positive manner. It is so gratifying to me to see my patients’ excitement about the change I help bring to their appearance.
